Jette is a very welcoming municipality for families and offers varied activities for big and small : « La ferme pour enfants », contemporary art exhibitions (Atelier 34Zero), original musical opportunities : “Classique à l’abbaye”, “Jamm”in Jette” and “Jazz Jette June”. The Magritte museum is located in a house where artists work. The cultural centres are, for French speakers, le Centre Armillaire and for Dutch speakers, the Gemeenschapscentrum Essegem.
A train station in the centre, a metro station « Belgica », and several bus and tram lines.
Daily life is facilitated by a number of shops which are situated near la Place Reine Astrid (Place du Miroir) and is framed by a promenade along the Parc Roi Baudouin and a stone’s throw away from one of the biggest markets in the capital which takes place each Sunday on la Place du Miroir.
Like the various municipalities in the north and west of Brussels, Jette has real estate consisting of houses and apartments at a substantial price. It is possible to rent an apartment there at a reasonable price
