Evere is a mixed municipality where it is pleasant to live.  This municipality is one of the most discreet in the Brussels’ region.  Its rural past still leaves many traces : cultivated vegetable gardens, green spaces, farms and a windmill.. Evere also has many cemeteries (those of Schaerbeek, the city of Brussels and of Evere) which are also a place of  meditation, of silence and of greenery.

Evere is located a few steps away from NATO (Haren) ; Several tramway lines in Lower -Evere, bus lines covering all of the municipality, two train stations, the municipality offers easy access to the Ring, the ring road which surrounds the capital.

The Brussels’ museum of the grinding mill and of food is located in the windmill of the XIX century.  Two cultural centres animate the municipality.

La place Paduwa, la chaussée de Louvain, l’avenue H. Conscience has many shops.  There are also many supermarkets in the municipality.

From Saint-Vincent church, the promenade in le parc Bon Pasteur joins le Moeraske (“Petit Marais”), a small corner of nature situated on a narrow lane of two kilometres where there is flora and fauna.

The price of property in Evere on the average is quite high, for houses as well as for apartments.  The rents of apartments are on the level of the most expensive municipalities.
