A typical Belgian winter receipe to brighten up your weekend! Waterzooi, express version.

Last cold snap before spring!
 
The traditional "Waterzooi" is one of the great specialities of our country (originating in Ghent, Flanders).  
 
Here’s our 10-minute Waterzooi receipe (4p.)
 
You need :
  • A hot, roasted chicken from the nearest supermarket
  • 4 potatoes
  • A "soupe Juienne" vegetables assortment (available at Carrefour supermarkets. Vegetables are already cut and seasoned)
  • 30 cl fresh cream

 Cut the chicken into 4 parts. Cover the chicken breasts and legs as well as the vegetables and the potatoes, cut into two, with water in a big saucepan. Add the seasoning mix included in the vegetable assortment, salt, pepper, and bring the water to a boil. Once the potatoes are cooked, mix them with half of the bouillon from your saucepan. Pour the potato and bouillon mix back into the saucepan, add the cream and leave the Waterzooi to stew until you are really hungry.

You can also prepare it with fish, it's a little more delicate!
