The famous Brussels Café Métropole, situated in Place de Brouckère, founded in 1894, has reopened its doors after 8 months of work. Renovated without losing its pure Art Nouveau style, the terrace has been enlarged.
Café Métropole is a monument, and pretty much the only witness to the past grandeur of Place de Brouckère.
Dozens of celebrities have drifted in over the years and still continue to come. It was built by the Wielemans brothers, owners of the brewery in Forest, who decided to open this café to ensure the promotion of their beers. It is worth stopping to have a coffee.
