Benoît Nihant, the famous Belgian chocolate-maker, delivered his recipe to Vivacité!
It looks so good that we share it with you because nothing like a hot chocolate between friends until Christmas!
For 6 persons
- 800 g whole or semi-skimmed milk
- 160 gr of fresh cream
- 48 gr of cane sugar
- a pinch of fleur de sel
- a vanilla pod
- 160 gr of dark chocolate (70%)
° In a saucepan, bring the milk to a boil with the fresh cream, sugar, fleur de sel and vanilla bean previously split in length and scraped.
° Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.
° Chop the chocolate coarsely with a knife and place it in a bowl.
° Remove the vanilla from the brew.
° Gently mix some hot milk with the chopped chocolate until you have a nice dough.
° Pour this dough into the rest of the hot milk and whip it briskly!
Comfortably seated in your best chair, by the fireplace or around the kitchen table, enjoy it gently.
