The ambition of CENTRALE for contemporary art is to give contemporary visual arts the widest possible audience and make people discover contemporary artists from Brussels within an international perspective. This center for contemporary art of Brussels City seeks to be a space that is open to the world, Europe, the city and the neighborhood, and to respond to the specific characteristics of Brussels, with its diverse population and rich cultures. CENTRALE aims to reinforce social ties and trigger dialogues around contemporary creation. This intent is translated into intergenerational workshops, participative projects, and encounters with artists and collaborations with the capital city's art schools and colleges and all other institutions that champion contemporary creation, regardless of its form.
