This surprising place does open on request. The museum contains important pictures by Belgian artists of the 19th century and a large number of objets d’art. The temples are worth going out of your way to see and they have listed status. The Lodge is also the owner of the small Louis XVI ‘hôtel particulier’ that adjoins the museum. This was the residence of Laurent-Benoît Dewez, the first architect of the governor of the Southern Netherlands, Charles de Habsbourg-Lorraine.
